What we do

Open Optics of Dublin is the team behind the revolutionary new concept in telecommunications infrastructure, the Open Access Platform ™.

The principals behind the Open Access concept

Would a developer build a series of retail or commercial units at their own expense and then just give them away free of charge? Of course not, yet this is exactly what many developers have done with their telecoms infrastructure over the years. A typical developer installs a costly telecoms and data network, and then just hands it over to the telecoms companies to do with as they see fit.

We aim to change this.

At Open Optics, we believe that telecommunications infrastructure should be treated as an asset, purely and simply, and like any other asset should be managed so as to realise the best possible revenue stream and return on investment.

The deployment of an Open Access Platform™ instead of a costly and often wasteful conventional telecoms fit-out allows the developer to not only make considerable savings on installation, but to realise a healthy return on investment and a reliable revenue stream that will continue to deliver as long as the development is active.

The technology behind the Open Access concept

An Open Access Platform ™ is based around our OpenCore™ ducting system. Using our OpenCore™ system greatly increases the capacity of a telecommunications duct, which combined with the enormous carriage capacity of modern optical fibre cabling; will effectively future proof a development against all likely increases in demand and advances in technology.
